With attrocities happening on a daily basis across our planet it seems that deep down we are all in fact the same, no one wants thier children growing up in a warzone. With over 300 million people living in poverty it seems that our tiny little refugees of 10-100 thousand that arrive each year is a drop in the ocean, in fact are we actually making a difference? The answer is NO WE ARE NOT....for every 50,000 we take in we destroy our own economy causing an uproar for not putting our Countries interest before outsiders.
Now this may be so and looking at what we are doing is actually ruining the lives of the vass amount that can not get to the UK, when you consider that only the smartest and skilled refugees are trying to escape for a better life, we are leaving behind the people that can not add anything to our industry thus making the rest even more vunerable. What we should be doing is fixing what is wrong in their Country so they do not want to leave, taking in refugees is only adding to the problem. It takes you to sit down and actually digest what i have just said, only then will we be able to make a difference, until someone grips the situation we will continue to think we are helping but actually killing the ones left behind with no education and skills!!
What we need to do is not try and lead from the front, because we always get this wrong, history has told us, and i hope we have learned a lesson from it, DO NOT try and enforce democracy into a place that does not want it.
